On Saturday, August 13th from 1-4 pm, Charis Books and More will be hosting X Books for a letter packing event. X Books has printed introduction letters that they are going to send to incarcerated individuals around the state and they need help packing them and addressing envelopes. These letters are how they are getting books directly into people’s hands, and allow them to choose the specific titles they want. We’re excited to see you there! This event will take place inside. Their mission is simple: They believe that access to literature is a human right so they dedicate themselves to restoring access to books for all persons under correctional control. The books will always be free of charge to those who are incarcerated.
