Charis welcomes former "Charis Kid" Meg Gibbs in conversation with Charis Books and More Co-founder, Linda Bryant for a celebration and discussion of Spiritually Parented: A Foot in Both Worlds which weaves together stories, gifts, and lessons learned from growing up in a household with a devoted sacred practice.
We are excited to present this discussion as part of our 49th birthday celebration because Spiritually Parented is very much a Charis story. It is the story of Meg's growing up in Atlanta with lesbian moms, and studying an evolving spiritual practice that is deeply rooted in feminism, love and appreciation for the Earth. Charis is one of the many places that helped raise Meg in community and her family is deeply woven into the history of the store.
If you like Glennon Doyle’s wisdom, Nora McInerny’s sass, and Aisling Bea’s wit, you’ll love Spiritually Parented. Capturing the sad, funny, uplifting and real parts of personal growth, grief and living a life in tune with Spirit. Ultimately inviting you back home to yourself, your body, and inner wisdom to carve your own path in the world.
Meg Gibbs is a Somatic Spiritual Guide, Certified Coach, and Author. She has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, LGBTQ+ leaders, and creatives over the last 10 years. She helps people get in touch with their intuition, body and Spirit. Meg has studied shamanism since she was young, which has led to a lifelong journey of spiritual exploration with various healers and teachers from the US and South America. When not contemplating the mysteries of the Universe, Meg loves dancing, having deep conversations over high quality ice cream, and spending time with her dog. For more information: www.meggibbs.com
