In observation of National Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, join us for a film and panel discussion exploring the American immigrant experience.
We will be screening The Other Side of Immigration (2009), a documentary profiling the sociopolitical/economic causes for & impacts of immigration from Mexico to the U.S.
After the film, we will be joined by a panel of immigrants from various parts of Latin America and others working in immigration policy and advocacy to discuss how immigration impacts the lives of Atlantans in 2019.
Accessibility: Charis Books is fully wheelchair accessible by a ramp leading up to the front entrance and onsite van accessible parking. The restroom is also wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral. The nearest MARTA station is Decatur Station.
This event is free and open to the public, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to Charis Circle for providing the space.
