Kidliterate Book Club Reads Hey Kiddo by Jarrett J. Krosoczka

Event date:
Tuesday, January 22, 2019 - 7:00pm to 7:30pm

Kidliterate invites you to join a group of quirky adults who enjoy reading and discussing classic Young Adult and Middle Reader books. Drop-ins welcome!

To start off 2019, we're reading Jarrett J. Krosoczka's National Book Award-finalist graphic memoir, Hey Kiddo, about growing up with a drug-addicted mother, a missing father, and two opinionated grandparents.

This is a Charis Circle Strong Families, Whole Children Program. $5 suggested donation.

This group will pause for Feb and March as Charis relocates to Agnes Scott College. It will resume in April.

A National Book Award Finalist!

In kindergarten, Jarrett Krosoczka's teacher asks him to draw his family, with a mommy and a daddy. But Jarrett's family is much more complicated than that. His mom is an addict, in and out of rehab, and in and out of Jarrett's life. His father is a mystery -- Jarrett doesn't know where to find him, or even what his name is.
