Don't miss this gut punch of a novel about mental health, loss, and discovering you are worthy of love.

This event is co-sponsored by BEAM. BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) is a national training, movement building, and grant making institution that is dedicated to the healing, wellness, and liberation of Black and marginalized communities. BEAM's mission is to remove the barriers that Black people experience getting access to or staying connected with emotional health care and healing through education, training, advocacy, and the creative arts.

Whether you plan to attend in person or virtually, all attendees must register for the event. You may choose a free ticket without a book, a single signed book ticket which will just include Nic Stone's signature, or a personalized book ticket which will include Nic Stone's signature and your name. If you register for a virtual event ticket with book, you will need to register here on eventbrite first so that we can be sure to get your book to you and then follow the instructions in the Eventbrite confirmation email to register on the virtual event page for the actual event. All virtual event tickets with books will be shipped.

If you select the personalized option you must include your information (name), otherwise we will default to a plain signed book ticket. Nic Stone will be pre-signing paperback copies of Chaos Theory only and there will not be a signing line on the day of the event, but there will be an extended Q&A.

If you choose the in-person book with ticket option, you will bring your ticket with you to pick up your copy of the book to Charis on the night of the event. All books not picked up at the event on 3/24 will be available for pickup at Charis Books and More (184 S. Candler St, Decatur) for an additional 2 weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns about your order, please contact us at 404-524-0304 or info@charisbooksandmore.com.

About the book:

Scars exist to remind us of what we’ve survived.

DETACHED: Since Shelbi enrolled at Windward Academy as a senior and won’t be there very long, she hasn’t bothered making friends. What her classmates don’t know about her can’t be used to hurt her—you know, like it did at her last school.

WASTED

Andy Criddle is not okay. At all.

He’s had far too much to drink.

Again. Which is bad.

And things are about to get worse.

When Shelbi sees Andy at his lowest, she can relate. So she doesn’t resist reaching out. And there’s no doubt their connection has them both seeing stars . . . but the closer they get, the more the past threatens to pull their universes apart.
