Give OUT Day 2017! Help Charis Win Big!

Event date:
Thursday, April 20, 2017 - 12:00am to Friday, April 21, 2017 - 12:00am

Sometimes folks say "I want to give to Charis but I can only give $10 or $20. When is the best time to give?" The answer is anytime (of course!), but especially on Give OUT Day when smaller donations go further. On Give OUT Day, each unique donation that a donor makes to Charis puts us in the running for thousands of dollars in matching prize money! So all you have to do is go right now and schedule your donation to Charis Circle in advance of April 20th (or on April 20 if you like living dangerously!) to help Charis win big!

We love this challenge because it's such a good fit for our community: you don't have to have deep pockets, just a deep willingness to make a quick one time show of love for Charis and tell your friends. The more who join us, the better we'll do. We came in second in two categories last year. This year we are aiming for 1st place! Don't wait, schedule your donation now so you don't have to think about it on the 20th!

More About Give OUT Day: Give OUT Day is the ONLY national day of giving for the LGBTQ community – a 24-hour online fundraising event that unites donors and nonprofit organizations from across the country to raise critically needed funds.

Since its inception in 2013, over 15,000 individual donors have contributed more than $2.4 million and supported more than 500 different organizations in every part of the country. These funds have translated directly into services, advocacy, and programs that help tens of thousands of LGBTQ people.
Participating nonprofits also receive a chance to win bonus prize money.

LGBTQ nonprofits help power our movement for equity and justice and are critical to making sure that LGBTQ people have access to that support and services that they need. For decades and decades, from bar fundraisers and penny jars to gala fundraisers and major gifts individual donors have funded progress at every step. Give OUT Day follows in and builds on this great tradition. Throughout this day-long event, thousands of people make gifts to support a vast array of LGBTQ nonprofits across the country, ranging from the arts to social services agencies, advocacy groups to sports leagues, community centers to health care nonprofits. Monetary donations are the most direct way to help a nonprofit make an impact: they allow nonprofits to allocate funds where they are most needed.
