DESCRIPTION:<p>Join poet\, psychotherapist\, and activist Franklin Abbott as he reads from his sixth book\, Pink Zinnia. Franklin believes that there is poetry in good therapy and therapy in good poetry. He writes about the natural world and creates portraits of friends and teachers with humor and soulfulness.  The book's title was inspired by the humble zinnia that his paternal grandmother grew in abundance.  Pink was her favorite color. Franklin has read and signed all of his books at Charis. He is Chairperson of the Atlanta Queer Literary Festival and a longtime community activist.</p>
